CDS-9010 Overview — Video Tour

Hi, Carter Dewey, coming to you again from beautiful, sunny Miami, Florida, here to talk to you a little bit about the CDS-9010.

Not only do we have it AT&T Network Ready, but it is also Network Optimized, their highest level of certification.

This is also part of the POTS IN A BOX® family. It has up to a 24-hour backup battery. Each of these battery packs on each side is 12 hours, so there are a couple of different options for backup battery. Simply pop it into the side there.

Let’s take a look around the back. You’re going to notice right away that we have the rubber duck antennas. This helps to greatly improve reception. When you install it, typically, you’re going to see about twice the reception that you would on a Samsung or an iPhone.

Additionally, if you need to, you can remove the rubber duck antenna and use a coaxial cable to run an antenna to an area of the building that has better reception.

The CDS-9010 offers dual SIMs and is multi-carrier certified.

This device has two RJ-11s and three Ethernet ports: one WAN and two LAN. The RJ-11s both have POTS IN A BOX® technology, which allows you to connect to your legacy infrastructure that’s on the POTS/PSTN network—things like fire panels, alarms, security-gate access, building controls, lighting controls, elevators, and these types of things.

This also comes with Wi-Fi 2.4 and 5.0. The 5.0 supports AC with fast multiplexing. It can operate in access-point mode and/or client mode.

We do have installations where the client didn’t want to run cabling throughout the building, so they used the Wi-Fi in client mode as the primary connection and then also used LTE for backup.
