Cookie Policy
The specific cookies and similar technologies DataRemote.com uses, what each one does, how long it lasts, and how to accept or decline them.
What this policy covers
This Cookie Policy lists the specific cookies and similar technologies used on DataRemote.com, what each one does, how long it lasts, and how you can control them. It supplements Section II.B of our Privacy Policy, which explains how the information these technologies collect is used.
This policy covers the DataRemote.com website only. DataRemote products, services, and mobile apps may use cookies as described in the Privacy Policy and in any product-specific notice.
How consent works on this site
- If you are visiting from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or Quebec, the analytics and visitor-identification technologies below are off by default. They load only if you choose Accept on the consent banner. Choosing Decline keeps them off, and the site works exactly the same.
- Everywhere else, these technologies are on by default, and you can turn them off at any time.
- To change your answer at any time, use the Your Privacy Choices control in the footer of every page. Your choice is stored in your browser and honoured for 12 months, after which we ask again.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser sends the GPC signal, we treat it as a decision to decline — you don’t need to do anything else.
Declining does not affect cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to function, of which this site sets almost none — see the table below.
The cookies and technologies we use
Set by us (first party)
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
dr-consent-v1 | Browser localStorage (not a cookie) | Records your consent choice so we don’t re-ask on every page | 12 months, then we ask again |
That is the only thing DataRemote.com itself stores in your browser. The site does not use cookies for logins, carts, or preferences — there are none of those features to support.
Set by consent-based technologies
These are set only when the corresponding technology is allowed to run (see “How consent works” above).
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes one browser from another for aggregate usage measurement | Up to 2 years (some browsers cap this at about 13 months) |
_ga_* | Google Analytics | Maintains session state for the same measurement | Up to 2 years |
_lfa | Leadfeeder (Dealfront) | Assigns a visitor identifier used to associate a visit with the organization it appears to come from | Up to 2 years |
_gcl_au | May be set by Google’s tag machinery as part of its default operation. DataRemote does not run advertising campaigns and does not use it for advertising | About 3 months |
Technologies that set no cookies
| Technology | Provider | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare Web Analytics | Cloudflare | Aggregate performance measurement. Sets no cookies and does not track you across sites, which is why it runs without consent |
| YouTube (privacy-enhanced mode) | Used on pages with embedded video. In privacy-enhanced mode YouTube does not set cookies before you play a video; playing one is governed by Google’s own policies | |
| Pipedrive web forms | Pipedrive | Powers certain contact forms; may store technical state needed for the form to function on the pages where it appears |
Other ways to control cookies
Independent of our banner, every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings, and Google offers a browser add-on that blocks Google Analytics on every site: the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Blocking all cookies may affect other websites; on DataRemote.com it has no functional effect.
Changes to this policy
When we add, remove, or change a technology that stores or reads anything in your browser, we update the tables above and the date at the top of this page. Material changes are also reflected in the consent banner where required.
