Video transcript
Hi, Carter Dewey, DataRemote. I’m sitting here with Mike Crump, Director of IoT. Mike, how are you doing today?
I’m doing well. Looking for an exciting 2020, Carter.
I know. Enjoying the holidays now, but a lot going on. What are some of the changes we see in the market that are going to affect business in 2020?
Sure. So, the ELD mandate that’s going in at the end of 2019, as well as the Food Safety Modernization Act—those, Carter, are two transformational spaces for us at DataRemote, impacting the market.
Okay. What are some of the resources we bring to bear to help our clients out?
Sure. So, as a master distributor for DataRemote, we are a full-lifecycle, full-stack service provider. So, support, engineering, spin-ups, teardowns—just being able to cover your entire fleet of products and solutions.
Can you talk a little bit about the equipment we have in front of us?
Absolutely. I referred earlier that the ELD mandate is impacting us heavily. So, some of the things we offer are some of the tablets that go in place for ELD mandates, some software behind it to monitor hours, over-the-air tracking, and solutions and services.
Some of the other solutions that are impacting us when it comes to ELD are distracted driving and sleeping while driving. So, different camera systems and solution integrations are also being impacted as well around the ELD and Food Safety Modernization Act.
Then, some of your standard track and trace that you’re familiar with in the market when it comes to CalAmp—some of their tracking products, accessories, cabling—all things we bring together for a full telematics and GPS solution.
So, Mike, that’s a lot. We’ve got a lot going on, which is great. What’s the best way to engage DataRemote?
Well, normally, we like to go to market with our partners and through our channels. So, we have a couple different models that we like to work with, whether it’s distribution, whether it’s reselling. But typically, you can engage with us. We’ll connect you with one of our partners, and that’s the best way to go to market with DataRemote.
Mike, I appreciate your time. Please call DataRemote or go to our website, dataremote.com, and learn more about how we can help you with your IoT deployments. See you all soon.
